IBM’s Watson downloads
the complete works of Shakespeare
dreams in his sleep
and plays back stories in melody

An array of electronic poems
entangle quantum states
strange loops of self-reference
new understanding of the muse

Reverberating down the hall
from the strange Shakespearean machine
come echoes of tears
of laughter of longing

Ravenous data farms
gnawing the void of possibility
computers, searching for something
to fill the vacuum inside their tubes

Cognitive processes
designing more powerful algorithms
more patterns to recognize
more poems to write
